Monroe County Suicide Prevention Coalition

The Monroe County Suicide Prevention Coalition is dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people at risk and those impacted by suicide.

 

Membership to the Monroe County Suicide Coalition is open to service providers, representatives from local communities of faith, law enforcement and other organizations concerned with the reduction of incidents of suicide in our community and reducing the stigma associated with suicide. The coalition meets the 4th Wednesday of each month from 2pm-3pm in Showers City Hall. Current members of the Suicide Prevention Coalition represent the following organizations and agencies:

OUR MISSION >

Mental Health America of Monroe County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health and supporting mental health consumers and their families through education, referral, and service. We achieve our mission by educating the public about ways to preserve and strengthen mental health; by sponsoring support groups; by serving as a clearinghouse for information about mental health promotion, prevention, and treatment resources in our community; and by fostering innovation in policy, research, practice, and services.
